Not always though. A well placed swear word can be very funny!
Swear words are just words like any other, they should use 'em if they want.

Billy Conolly's swearing annoys me though for some reason. Mainly because the F word is pretty much all he says.
(And he's too old to swear.....)

I can honestly say I've never seen a comedian just come on and swear. It wouldn't be funny. Perhaps yous have seen comedians I haven't. Unless you've seen a tramp get on stage of something. And if it wasn't for the prudery and censorship of the BBC there would be at least twice the swearing on the League of Gentlemen than there is now.

I don't know about that. Just 'cause they eff it live doesn't mean that it would fit into the series as well. The language in series 3 is just the right level I reckon ('f*** off Charlie!'). However, I wish they'd been allowed to include the end of the Pop sketch in series 1. They would have allowed it for series 3.

I'm getting the word 'mong'.

PS I'm not calling you a mong there. I hope no one thought that. Its a reference to the fact that the word mong has been cut completely from the xmas special. The League of Gentlemen can't get away with anything. Like the word rape in the dating agency sketch. I don't see how the third series would be any different.
