Ahh - I see and my pleasure. Yep. Well it deserves it's own topic too ;). The cast looks amazing ... I have changed some of the details for clarity.
Julian Rhind-Tutt (Green Wing's ginger freak), Mark Gatiss, Philip Jackson (Seedy Malcolm Carpet from Funland), Lee Ingleby (Terry Hall-alike from SPACED 'you know what!' ), Jean Marsh ( Evil witch from RETURN TO OZ), Samuel Barnett (he sounds nice but a bit like a brewery), Daniela Denby-Ashe (North and South - she snogged teh Armitage, the lucky ho), Anna Madeley (her mum was Juliet Bravo I think) and, in his debut dramatic role, illusionist and sexxor Derren Brown as the mysterious Sir Roger Widdowson.
I think this is the best Christmas ever ...

Dear Santa

Can Mark do an Amicus style ghost story with Derren as a sexy ev0l lord?

Thanxkaybye

Here's a little interview with Mark about Crooked House.

Mark talks about the story so it could be a little spoilery.

PLEASE can someone tell me when this is on? Alison Grham reviews it in the Radio Times but gives no time or date. Honestly, I have searched relevant threads on here but my time is limited by that hard old mistress, Money, so I would really be grateful to get a reply.

I also Googled it, but it's had such good press - yay Mark! - that after reading the first 10 interviews with no indication of date I gave up.

They keep showing trailers for this on BBC Four. They played one after Charlie Brooker.

Some of it really reminds me of Winterborne! Hehe.

Derren has blogged about Crooked House
Derren Brown wrote:The other night I went to the cast and crew screening of Mark Gatiss’ Crooked House, an excellent ghost story collection for Christmas. I’ve always been a huge fan of Mark’s work, as many of you will be too. It’s a very well-written, beautifully-filmed, very effective treat, and I hope you’ll all make sure you watch it.

To those few of you who may have gotten over-excited by the exaggerated reports of my ‘first dramatic role’ in some areas of the press, please drastically lower your expectations of my personal part in this. I do have a tiny, barely-speaking cameo, safely nestled amongst the proper actors, and I’m sure you’ll cheer and be amused in all the right places, but blink and you’ll miss me.

Enjoy it - it plays on BBC 4 over Christmas on December 22, 23 and 24. Or even better, you could watch the omnibus edition of all three at 9 pm on Saturday 27 December.

Ho Ho Ho.

Read about it in the RT- looks fabulous. Can't wait for it. I think it's going to be a lovely spooky Gothic Christmas all round.

You like a spooky Crimbo too, SoTR? There's that thing by Sarah Waters on, too- that Affinity. Might even have a bit of ladies with other ladies in it, if you're not adverse to that sort of thing.

I suspect that you may be as adverse to it as I would be to the Gothic spooky Crimbo special: Lord Matthew Macfadyen and Dr Michael Fassbender spank their naughty chambermaid in a big spooky mansion.
