Walking through Afflecks' Palace with ICIC and what do we find?

Sadly Geoff wasn't there, but it did prompt extensive quoting.

I kner it's a double post, but it was AAAAAAAGES ago.

I can't believe it. On the committee for my Halls there is a boy called Luke. And you'll never guess his surname. I actually squeaked and then laughed to myslef in the corridor for ages. It is...

...LAZAROU!

Want me to abduct him and set him on the home page as forum mascot?

I don't know, I've never met the bloke. The list of people on the committe only appeared today, so will have to wait until the first meeting to see him and report back.

Even if he is hot, I think the chances of him being a minstrel with a collection of waaaaaavfs is slim  . I shall have to find him a couple of dwarves and a three legged dog to create the right appearance without resorting to attacking him in the street with face paint. 8)

Edward is in "The Book of Great British Wit" He's under the section 'Little Britain' and they've used the, "We don't bother the outside world, we don't want it bothering it us!" quote.

I was in Huddersfield today and found out there is not only a place called 'Solutions' but it is a recruitment agency and it said 'Local Jobs For Local People'. Made me proper chuckle it did :)

I know this has (probably) happened to other people here (I'd read back through the thread, but I'm lazy... at least I admit it!). Anyway... yesterday I took some junk (read: quality items) to a charity shop... and guess what? They asked if they could KEEP THE BAG.

I had to leave sharpish.

I *did* burst out laughing once I'd closed the door behind me... and got a few funny looks from passers-by.

Like I cared...

Two very weak moments:

Girl at my dance class was studying dance at Bretton Hall.

I've forgotten the other now! It was just as rubbish though.

Edit: Remembered - a play on is described 'See one of Ireland’s best kept secrets, the award winning Fabulous Beast, touring the UK for the first time with their new show James son of James. Innovative and talented director Michael Keegan-Dolan fills this tale with characters from the midlands of Ireland, more at home in Royston Vasey than Ballykissangel!' :)

In heat mag this week they have big brother lookalikes. They have Dennis next to a picture of Tubbs. Uncanny.

We have a bus service called the Local Link in Nottingham, which has "The Local Bus for Local People", and also a Pub which reads"a Local Pub for Local People". Surely that can't be coincidence? Maybe it's an advertising scheme.
