Well, the only real official spoiler I've got at the moment is the fact that Steve Pemberton himself said himself "There is a threat to the very existence of the village, but that's all I can say."

Anyone got anything else?

Before series one? Oh, I was hoping for them to carry on the ongoing story in the movie. Although I suppose it would help keeping all the main story confined to the series so that people who don't watch the movie don't start watching the 4th series (keep your fingers crossed) and find that loads more characters are dead, gone, or some completely new characters have come in and changed what's happened, or that some huge difference made the town that they don't know about because of the movie.
Plus Tubbs and Edward will be there (woohoo!!).

It is not a history!
How many times must I say this?
lol, sorry to sound so harsh, but Steve Pemberton said himself that there is a threat to the very existence of the village.

Do you think there will be cameos in the film (like Christopher Eccleston and Liza Tarbuck)?

If so, who do you think the Gents will ask to be in it? I'd love them to get Simon Pegg, David Walliams, Matt Lucas and Julia Davis in it, but they don't usually go for the most obvious choices do they?

Simon Pegg said months and months ago that he'd read the League's film script.
That could mean that he's going to have a cameo, or it could just mean that he's a friend so they let him read it.
But I hope it's the first one!

Yeah, that would be quite good.
Several English comedy cameos would be good. The Little Britain guys, one of the Monty Python gang, or Simon Jones (The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy).

The rumour has finally surfaced in film trade magazines that the League film, (definitely called ROYSTON VASEY) will apparently feature all the familiar Vasey characters, but they get wind of the fact that 'the writers' are trying to write them out and replace them, so they have to battle to survive.

Now, this is the old old rumour that some of us were sworn to secrecy about just before they ran into financial difficulties. I don't know if it's still true - I can tell you that the press often report old news that is no longer correct!

But I couldn't see anyone having posted this here so I thought you'd be interested. As I say, I've heard that this story line was ditched, but you never know do you? Perhaps they've gone back to their original idea.

Oh, I also didn't see anyone posting about the "haunted theatre" plot?

Someone - I forget who - was working in one of the theatres in London back when the Gents were scouting for locations. Steve and Reece visited to have a look around for a location for the film, apparently involving a theatre that was haunted. I don't know if this idea is still there, but if they are working from the old script (the one Peggy has read) then it very well might be!

Exciting isn't it? How much would you give to be living in Ireland and able to apply to be an extra in the film? Lucky devils.
