Ross or Pauline?

Post by Fat Pen » Wed Dec 22, 2004 3:21 am

True apologies if this has been done before, but I'm not in the mood for trawling back through threads.

Which one do you feel more sympathy for - Ross or Pauline?

I was always a Ross man, myself, despite his smugness.

I feel more sympathy for Pauline.
But (although I love Pauline) I feel more affection for Ross.

Actually I feel the most sorry for Mickey. Bloody hell, look at the poor boy...

I have to be more sympathetic towards Pauline. Aww the poor darlin

But i must stress it's very hard to be more for Pauline, as i can't get enough of Ross, the only way i saw past it was that i liked Ross to stay the way he is. Because I love that sexy smugness =P~

I feel more sorry for Ross! Pauline has Mickey Love, Ross has no-one (although i could fix that problem  )
Is that why i have to wash my face with a potato?

Kind of like a .. David .. Brown.

mickey all the way (i'd like to give him a nice hot meal, a long hot bubble bath and put some cartoons on for him to watch), but seeing as the fireman loving creature isn't an option i'm going for pauline.

both pauline & ross seem a little bitter and twisted about how life has treated them but pauline seems more human (she has her moments!) and un-intentional about it, where else ross is just twistwed and screwed ("it's a university now!!"). and is more calculating towards getting things to go his way.

pauline is a middle aged icon! (i gave a friend the silent treatment today cos they chose david brent over pauline as a character  )

I hope in Series 4 (come on, I can dream) we see Mickey making it as a fireman, be it in a true LofG accident-filled way. I actually voted for Ross, because he has no friends... like me.

I would also like to see this plot accompanied by Ross helping out Mickey, and maybe pulling some strings at the Welfare Office to get him the job (after all, he came to his wedding).

Everyone loves Pauline because, as Mark said, she's a classic comedy monster that everyone loves to hate. But my heart really does go out to Ross on this one because although he's smug & arrogant, he doesn't really have anything/one to live for. Pauline's got Mickey & vice versa.

It just doesn't seem right that Ross ends up worse off when he was the good guy to begin with.
