Saw Wicked yesterday. OMG it was brilliant. For anyone who doesn't know, it's about the Witches from the Wizard of Oz. It's mostly about Elphaba (the Wicked Witch of the West), and Galinda (the Good Witch). It's quite sad at some moments (it made me cry three times ), mostly because Elphaba isn't really wicked, but the Wizard tells everyone she is because she won't help him, as what he wants her to do is wrong.
It explains how the lion, the tin man and the scarecrow came about, and the winged monkeys, and why Dorothy's house got blown into Oz. It's really clever when it does stuff like that.

If you haven't seen it, you really should, it's brilliant. There was a standing ovation at the end, pretty much everyone stood up, and that's pretty good for a matinee. I wanted to get tickets for the evening show too, but I didn't have enough money

Right, before I do a report proper of my time in LA with VL, I must just mention the 18th April, when I finally got to go to The Hothouse and see Sheila in action!

What a fantstic evening and VERY VERY inventive and funny.

All three sets were really good. Sheila appereared in the first of three and the whole piece was funny revolving around Earth Day. Sheila highlights were her being a bird,a tree (if I remember correctly) and best of all when high falling off her seat whilst stoned, which got a really big laugh and rightly so. Everyone was brilliant in it and Sheila shone, myself and Sheila's freiend were killing ourselves laughing!

A guy came on and did a really funny musical interlude mid time and then the rest of Sheila's gang did thier piece, which had the immortal 'Jesi' line!

Then the alumini came on and did there stuff, which was very entertaining

It was really fun evening and I felt proud to know Sheila! Id go EVERY week if I could! Loved it!

I hope Asty gets a chance to go

Ohh the Big Booty just made me laugh! Esp the manic laughing guy at the end!

Plus all the 'Got Yer back's are brilliant! The Banana Skin one was brilliant! But they were all Superb and was good to see you in action! Whose idea were they? They are very clever.Loved the music too, what is it?

I was having trouble loading the show you did and am very eager to see it! I will try again later. I feel its my duty and pleasure as your biggest fan Sheila!

I hope next time I come to the States that it coincides with some performances at the the theatre.

Anyway, good work!

Still, at least Simm turned up... Fingers crossed for Barrowman, eh??

(I'm still sulking a little bit, though)
