GOD yes! It went on for ages! Woke me up and then in the next half hour everyone we know was either ringing or texting us! My friend down the road was threatening to sleep in her car with her kids, she was so scared!
And I'll stay here till the trail's cold and return again with my meaty gold
You want it! You can't get enough of Hilary Briss and his special stuff...

 I felt the Birmingham one in about 2003 too so I knew what it was. It was still a little heart-racing though. I'd really like to experience one in the day rather than being woken up by one just to experience it properly. It's such a strange feeling!

Yeah we felt it quite a bit actually, it woke me up i'd just gone to bed! I too had felt the one a few years back so knew what it was straight away, but yeah it was far scarier then that one. It seemed to go on for ages as well, it just felt so weird. My boyfriend scared the shit out of me though cos he just jumped out of bed and went "EARTHQUAKE!!"

I only live about 25 miles from the epicenter, so maybe thats why we felt it round here more so than down near you Paul.

The amount of times customers asked me toady if the earth moved for me last night......

I had a look on the AA route planner to see how far Gateshead is from Lincolnshire and it said 154 miles so no wonder the effects didn't reach us.

I'm as far 'doon sarrrrf' as Southampton and I swear I felt it or at least sensed it because I woke up at the time it happened feeling really wierd and couldn't get back to sleep.

Oooh, the Earthquake! It was way FUN! I loved it! I'd just finished reading and was having a go on my NDS in the dark and I thought one of my cats was having a scratch on the end of the bed... But no!

As I'm now just south of Hunstanton we're directly east of the epicentre so we got it quite hard. No tiles falling or anything else though. But the quake itself was brilliant!

...I know, I'm twisted!
