Re: Cavill, I would have agreed with you before I saw the fillum. I blame my childhood (and teenhood and early adulthood) fascination with Superman for filling in the blanks on this one! By the end, I felt like, "I'm sorry I ever doubted you, Superman! I'll give up my fondness for more complex, and occasionally evil, characters and follow in your white bread, red-booted footsteps! Hallelujah!" Or maybe it was the special punch they served before each screening.

Although Cavill's Superman is perhaps the darkest we've seen yet (which I dig). I mean, he had actual chest hair and everything!

Re: Zod, I expected to fancy him, and didn't. Huh. All yours, Seffela!

Yes, we are all mad as a box of frogs, but mad in the *good* way. ;)

Sooooo, had been planning a big tattoo of Batman on my thigh for YEARS and finally a few months ago I finally got my arse in gear and went and booked it. I'd researched studios for aaaaages and finally found the place. It was quite a way out of London but hey ho, the artists are all amazing so its worth it.
I was booked for the beginning of October (yup, insane wait of MONTHS but that shows they are amazing as a lot of other places you can get a tattoo done really quickly. Someone I work with said she's researched and got a back tattoo from Top Shop on Oxford Street. Its bloody AWFUL :( That is why you don't research for 5 minutes, duh! )

Anyway, blah blah blah, the studio had put me on the cancellations list and phoned me last week. I am now booked for Thursday!!!! :D :D :D :D

Scared but excited.

Its a 7 HOUR session. Halp!

Brilliant: I've had a MAJOR distraction rear its head the last several weeks, and I have had a very tough time concentrating on anything, which had started to feck me off, to be honest. I've got deadlines that I have to meet, and arg! This week I told myself I had to knuckle down and get to it, and after several stern talking tos, it seems to have worked. Yesterday I put in a solid four hours of uninterrupted work, and today I pushed on for more than eight. Thank the gods! I have put my dreams off long enough, and have been petrified of anything which might scupper them. Imagine if it had been my own inability to focus that had done it! Arg!

But I'm back to good now. Gotta keep hustling!

:D

Brilliant: Had a terrific meeting today with a production company who is interested in rebooting that chat show Derek and I did a few years ago. There have been many attempts through the years, but none that looked at all promising until now. It's still early, but fingers crossed!

My friend, someone who was very, very dear to me several years ago, was in a car accident over the weekend, and then, presumably after getting out of his vehicle, was hit by a second car, which dragged him down the road. He's battered and bruised, but he's going to be okay, which is the "brilliant" in this post. Still finding it hard not to cry, though. What a horrid thing to happen to anyone, but you never think of it happening to someone you care about. :'( Still, I'm so very, very thankful he's going to be okay.

Eeee that is bloody terrifying! So glad he's going to be ok!
Once the bruises have gone down then a party to celebrate being ok is in order!

Well, I've not been convention guy (DW wise) as I once was, but I'm now back on the bike and booked loads and ain't going to be intimidated!

I have Hallowhedon this weekend, 2 DW ones in November and a big one in Oxford in the new year :)

It may be sad, but it makes me happy! :D
