And, you know perfectly well I've not seen any of the Auton series. Scary things...*Shudders*

Hey VL!,jolly good but you didn't chose a very good one! Was it on DVD? Or on telly? Get one called 'Talons of Weng Chiang',you will be hooked!

What you have to bear in mind,it was made chaeply and for kids! Glad you enjored it though.

You should listen to some of Marks stories on CD.They are fantastic, especialy Invaders from Mars, an Orsen Welles one!

VL, you may gathered I'm a bit of an avid fan,(how many Daleks does one person neeed!)

I love the Black and white Hartnell ones,I was just conscious you might find them creaky.Though The Aztecs is a good one,it is about the 4/5th story in. Because part of the original remit was to be educational as well, hence stories about Marco Polo,French reveloution etc

If you are going to abandon the watching in order thing (you may not!) Also I don't know if you have the same DVD's on release as us but I reccomend in this order

Caves of Androzani
Talons of Weng Chiang
Earthshock
The Visitation
Robots of Death
The Green Death

Hope don't mind me telling you, just want to get you really hooked! It's like a religon to me,I want to (w)hook you!!

Ah, VL, you've dipped your toe in the water then I see? Great stuff!

I reccomend these:

The War Games
The Curse of Fenric
The 5 Doctors
Ghost Light

There are tons of others that I like, but these are my favorites...really corny!

Ah, that's the point really though, isn't it? Trek isn't a kids program and it was never ment to be. It is a well made, adult show.

That said, TOS and seasons one and two of TNG are laughable in places!

Yeah,he is ok as long as he keeps taking the medication....

@ VL

After consideration.

Others you should watch are

Genesis of the Daleks
Dalek Invasion of Earth
Ambassadors of Death
The Silurians
Terror of the Autons
Survival
War machines

Anything with Peter Davison

If anyone wants to show you 'Timelash' ,decline!

Anyway, got side tracked with the ST thing.

My attiude to DW is,it is a) only TV b) it's not brain surgery! It's harmless fun and yes we take the mick out of it and sometimes it's not well made or acted but it has some real magic moments in it and the scripts by and large are good.If the scripts are good you can forgive it anything. As for taking the mick, you always do out the things you love!

It's not even really the show,it's the whole social thing too. I've made some damn good friends in fandom and we have a good time when we get together. It's good to belong!

I went to Wookey Hole today. the guide actually did say half the things Mark says as Mick, including the bit about the Cybermen. I kept laughing (quietly, mind).
But sadly the guide was a woman. And no children drowned either.

The Dalek Invasion is a fantastic story! Had the first location shooting in the series history around London landmarks!!

You will love it!

Let me know what you think. I just wish I could discover DW for the first time again!
