Why is it these things are blindinly obvious when you find out what they are, but you wrack your brains for days trying to work them out?

I'll have to pop by and have look. I like the films, but have not read any of the books. So I'm not what you'd call a fan!

Yeah, I think I mentioned before that my Aunt's read the books; she's 64, so they must be alright! :D

I have thought about getting them, but I'm a sucker for getting first editions. I've looked and they're really expencive! I also like the adult hardback editions, but agian, they're hard to come by at a reasonable price. :(

I'll see what I can find when I've a touch more money!

Ex - you may need a lot of money cos they can cost abit esp. if you want to buy all 5. i'd just borrow them for the moment and buy them if you like them.

Look at the prices of first edition hardback Northern Lights by Philip Pullman £8000 each or £20,000 for 9! Phew - i'd half to use all my witchy powers and some others besides to get one of those!

I like the HP site - good recommendation.

I'm not even into Harry Potter, but that is a really excellent site. I wish all authors had sites that good. Stephen King's one is sort of okay.

Does anyone know what's behind the door with the Do Not Disturb sign?

Has anyone caught the flutterby? Keeps getting away from me!

Me neither! But I'm not "ashamed" of it. I'm just not interested in that kind of literature...

I love the books the first one is a bit kiddy but they get darker.

Who???

I do like the films, although, as I've said before, I've not read the books.

The only thing I do get a bit irritated with is her "borrowing" from other literature. There's a whole host of Greek/Roman mythology burried in her work. It annoys me that a whole genration of children will grow up thinking these creatures (and people in the case of Remus) are simply figments of JK's mind.

Please feel free to correct me if, in the books, she points to the works of Homer et el! :D It'd be a weight off!

The thing about JK Rowling is is she was a struggling writer before. Now when you see her interviewed despite being worth Millions, she's still a sour faced old misery!!!

Yeah, I've noticed that too. If I'd become as successful as she has I'd be turning cartwheels!

Well, maybe not, but at least you'd have the decency to put a smile on for all the mooks who'd lined your pocket wouldn't you?
