Blackadder goes fourth. Potentially difficult to make funny without causing offence, but it worked so well. :)

Second. Purely for his earring, Queenie & the "green" episode.

Not many people are that keen on series one, I quite like it. For one thing Peter Cook was in an episode - and I like Peter Cook!
But the second series has to be the best, that's when it really came alive I can't pick out a favorate episode, there all so damm good.
And didn't Rowan Atkinson look sexy?

i voted 3rd, but its very tough between the 3rd and 4th, but i love hugh laurie so 3rd got the edge.

but 4th is brilliant, we used to watch it in gcse history lessons, my teacher said it was for 'educational' purposes to see what a WW1 trench was like, but it was obvious it was because she was to lazy to teach. but it beat working. :D

Haha! I had a very similar experience in my A-Level Literature classes. One of the modules was on War literature [as dull as hell, I might add] but my teacher absolutely *beep* rocked & was a MASSIVE British Comedy fan, so he just let us watch "...Goes Forth" every lesson.

I miss him, he was awesome. :(

as have mine-once in history (although it was near the end of term and I think our teacher was looking for something to fill the time)
also in english when studying the play 'Journey's end', to highlight the differences between the two was the official line :?

Yeah but in the second he is Prince Ludwig the Indestructable and has a scar and a German accent and is very very sexxeeee indeed. he manages to be funny, cute and scary all at the same time. "Shorty greasy spot-spot!!"

In fact, one thing i adore about Blackadder is that Hugh dresses in various costumes - Elizabethan, military uniforms, even a centurion. *sighs*

Well The Avengers is not a comedy, though it does have it's humerous moments. We have a forum for the Prisoner, how about one for the Avengers - then I can list my favorate episodes. Most of them are from the Diana Rigg/Patrick McNee colour episodes.

Blackadder II.

That's all I have to say, other than Rowan Atkinson is pant-wettingly sexy! :D
