I was sure it was repeated at some point. :( Anyone see it?

I saw it.

I'm sure it used to be repeated... maybe it'll turn up on youtube or something.

They did used to repeat The Culture Show, rather daftly the same night it was on. I also watched it, it was mainly Lee in search of Ted Chippington, Herring appeared but fleetingly.

So after last night reviving the old Lee and Herring love within me, I've been trying to decide which one of them i like the best. Stewart Lee or Richard Herring.

Tough choice! I can't decide!

I'm feeling Rich at the moment (no quips please!) as you might be able to tell, after Stew's live dvd disappointed me. After seeing Rich live I've been reading his blog more and I think he's very very funny. I'm a bit worried that Stew isn't very funny any more. But then you say he was good at Tedstock so hopefully he still is. Some say he's the best stand-up around!

I think Stew's extreeeemely funny. And clever. Like Rob Newman is now.

Which dvd were you disappointed by?

I do love Rich more though, as when you read someone's blog a lot they do get into your head a bit.
But they're both still very funny in my opinion. :D

OK, I have to concede. I love Richard Herring more too. He just seems like such a genuine, lovely and funny man. Not that Stewart Lee doesn't, but Rich is much more approachable and seems more in touch with his fans.

He replied to my message Beast! He replied!!!!

I haven't heard Rob Newman since Newman and Baddiel. I'd like to see what he's like now actually.

I'm sure Stew's still funny. It was his Stand Up Comedian dvd but perhaps I just wasn't in the mood when I watched it. Keep meaning to give it another go.

Yeah Stew's got a less personable demeanour but that's his style and part of his charm. I find Rich more approachable, yeah. I love 'em both really. Maybe they are best when they're together with Rich as a foil. T Bird did you prefer the duo stand up to the solo stuff? But then you would anyway cos it's nostalgic!

Yay! I knew he would! What did you say and what did he say?!

It's hard to say really. I've seen both Stew and Rich perform solo and together and I've loved it all. And I find Stew incredibly funny, but he's funny in a sarcastic kind of way, whereas Rich - well he just takes the piss out of himself and acts silly.

But I must say I enjoyed the double act stuff more at Tedstock because it was nostalgic and it was jokes I'd heard before, and they do play very well off of eachother. I do wish they'd get back together!
Yay! I knew he would! What did you say and what did he say?!
Well I told him how much I loved the show and how great it was seeing them together again, and that I saw Menage-a-un at Edinburgh last year and was he taking a show there this year? and he replied with....

"Glad you enjoyed the night. So did I. It was an amazing show.
Hopefully be up in Edinburgh this year doing at least one show
So see you then.
I am touring menage a un. Spread the word!
Rich "

Not much but it came from his own fingers!! :D

More than I got! Yay! I love that reply! He's not touring near me but then I've seen it anyway if it's menage a un I think. Maybe he was still working on his material when I saw him though. Anyway, I'd go again. Maybe he'll play near my home town. But doesn't look like it.

well, if he's expecting to have another show at Edinburgh this year that means he'll more than likely be on tour again later this year or early next year with it! :D

Ooh I hope so but could be the same show maybe. Will you be going to Edinburgh again this year? He said 'See you then'!!! :)
