I was expecting him to be mega awkward and totally embarrassing.

Christopher Biggins dealt the embarrassing and awkward card that night

Oh dear gods, yes, he was complete rubbish. Robert was unbelievable! I actually found myself wishing he hadn't included any of the comedic bits because I was SO enjoying watching him dance for reals.

The legendary writing partnership of Ray Galton and Alan Simpson began in 1949, when the pair met whilst undergoing treatment for TB at Milford Sanitorium. By 1951 they were writing professionally for the BBC and they have since written over 600 scripts and won numerous awards for their work on radio, TV and film, including Hancock's Half Hour and Steptoe And Son.

Radio 2 marks the 60th anniversary of their writing partnership with a series of half-hour comedies, starring Frank Skinner, Mitchell & Webb, Rik Mayall, June Whitfield and Paul Merton. They were originally written for television by Ray and Alan and have been especially adapted by them for Radio 2.

David and Robert will be performing Impasse, originally part of Galton & Simpson's Comedy Playhouse in 1963, and reworked and used in the film The Magnificent Seven Deadly Sins (sin: Pride) in 1971. Premise - "A Rolls Royce and a banger meet in a very narrow country lane, somewhere in Cornwall, and both drivers refuse to back up. Between the AA, the RAC and the Cornish Constabulary, a solution is finally found, temporarily."

The show will be broadcast on Saturday 14th March at 1:30pm on Radio 2, and available on Listen Again. The first in the series, You'll Never Walk Alone, starring Frank Skinner, has already been on and is currently on Listen Again.

Loved this weeks episode. They grouped some good ones together. Shame the red button stuff isn't available online though. Could do with seeing them

You know it started well with the murder mystery but every sketch after that was weak IMO.

I think this series of mitchell and webb is SO good. Series 2 was quite meh in some places, and while there have been some "meh" ones this series on the whole I've really loved it and found it hilarious!
Its better then david's idea of 'miss miss miss, hit hit miss miss hit hit miss hit' HAHAAH!

i've seen they're comissioned for another series next year, I hope i'm in the UK for the taping of it. Chez keep me updated, i'd love to go!
Where is their forum??

Can't believe how genius some of it still is after three series. The apocalyptic quiz is perhaps one of the best things they've ever done. I'm desperate to know what the Event is. It's both funny and genuinely terrifying, and probably more closely represents the way things would be after a disaster than any other post-apocalypse movie or show.

I want them to make it into a full length thing.
Hello my darling it's me again. Where are you?

It could get funnier if we keep doing it.

I should ask the person who wrote it what it is... wonder if he will ever spill the beans. A full lenght version of the event would be awesome :)

Ooh its the last one this week then the dvd is out next week:

For me this series i think one of my favourites would have to be the death ray sketch:

The DVD's going to be out already? Wow and yeah!

And if you could ask, please do! Though maybe it will spoil it to know...
