We need a proper plan.

Mike and I are staying at the Ibis. We are planning to get there early and do the Greenwich Mean Time in the morning.

The vague plan is this - meet between 1 and 2. There is a park near the Ibis. Some people will meet Mike and me at the hotel to drop off outfits and perhaps change.

Is this a GOOD ENOUGH plan? Do we need to post a map of the park, ibis and train station?

What if it rains?
And I'll stay here till the trail's cold and return again with my meaty gold

Heres a link from the theatre with directions:

I'm easy. I am grabbing a lift with my folks. That would be easier too as i'll have booze and cakes with me :D

Tara, it wont rain *crosses fingers and toes*, but if it does there are plenty of pubs to spend our time in. There's also the Queens house for art and old stuff and the plane'arium. We could do a boat trip and also there's the fan museum where we can have afternoon tea.
Regarding food, I was gonna pop into the shop on the way up and pick up salady stuff, crisps and dip and obviously a Victorian sponge, oh and some stuff to go with the vodka of course

Sounds good. It all sounds great. But we should probably have one meeting point where everyone can come before we set off into the park?

Sarah suggests the Cutty Sark Tavern

http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/ ... /Greenwich

But I'm worried that's a little way away from the Ibis/Greenwich theatre.

Any other suggestions for a pub to meet or shall we say the Cutty Sark?

The Trafalgar tavern http://www.trafalgartavern.co.uk is closer, it's on park row which is on the opposite corner of the park to the theatre and where you're staying. So we can meet there, have a couple of drinks and wonder into the park. There is a small pub at the other corner of the park but I can't remember what it's called, anyway the Trafalgar is lovely and huge.

Trafalgar tavern looks nice! Yay Kerri.

Kate - I suggest you ring/text us and find out where we are? If it's boiling we may still be in the park!

Fantastic, I've checked the weather forecast and there will be no rain, it'll be 22 and cloudy, bring plenty of sunblock.

Ohhh, I'm properly excited now. The weather had better do what it says it will. I'm hoping that the north has got ALL of the country's rain for at least two weeks - it's apocalyptic at the moment. Summer my arse.

Travel update
The DLR is not running between Canary Wharf and Lewisham on the 28th so there will be a replacement bus service. It may be quicker to get the overground train to Greenwich from Charing Cross, Waterloo East or London Bridge.
See you all tomorrow, so excited now :D
