Hullo! New fan here. :D It seems I've been hounded by people lately telling me to watch, so I finally broke down and rented the first disc of the series. Thought to myself, "Eh, it's cute. Sort of amusingish in places," and decided I'd wait to continue the series because I just wasn't that fussed. Last week I wasn't paying attention to my rental queue, and accidentally got sent disc 2.

I am now addicted. I couldn't even begin to tell you when I knew it was love, it just sort of crept up on me. As someone said a few posts above, it's a grower, for sure. I think my favorite episode is the one where Brett was being pressured to have sex. Brilliance! "A kiss is not a contract, but it's very nice." Oh, and that French song. Me luv!

One thing that totally intrigues me: I can't see the attraction to Jemaine at all...until he sings. Then it's like all the charisma he didn't have while playing the character comes oozing sexily out of him in an almost Barry White fashion. At this point in my fandom, though, I still wouldn't. Well, unless he sang to me the entire time. ;)

Yay! It takes a bit to get into but it's worth it. :) Jemaine singing is were is starts. But I like his nose too. It's a good 'un.

And mah waaavf Mel. I luffs her. She would certainly pressure one to hiv six. I love Kiwi accents BTW.

The new series has just started in America, don't know when we're getting it. Maybe it can be downloaded from H.B.O.
I also got an email about U.S tour, fingers crossed that they bring it over here.

I know I'm very very late to Conchords love. But by God, Jemaine's Bowie impression is unearthly.

I could understand why people fancied him, but all the raving about him doesn't become clear until he is Bowie. His Bowie is the essence of Bowie. The soul of Bowie is in him. Brett tries to be Bowie, but he fails.

When he was Labyrinth Bowie at the end, I almost wept with joy.

Much like Jemaine himself, the show is a grower. Tiny moments play on your mind, like Brett saying he felt much smaller after being called small at the photoshoot.

Though have to say, Murray is my crush.
Hello my darling it's me again. Where are you?

It could get funnier if we keep doing it.

I love FotC so much, I think my favourite episode of this series so far is the second one. I haven't seen last night's episode yet.
