Brilliant time at the event despite Chris Barrie cancelling 2 days prior to the event and Craig Charles being 'ill' so not coming.

But we had Robert Llewellyn,Danny John Jules, Chloe Annett,Mac McDonald, guy who plyed the Gelf who marries Lister in Polymorph 2-Emohawk.

Full report to follow with photos! :D

I am concerned due to the last couple of series but I never got to see the whole of Back To Earth so I'm not sure of the quality except the first ep wasn't the best. But I suppose some Dwarf is better than none. I'm presuming it'll be on Dave though so I'll have to get it on dvd.

I was so happy when I heard this news. I just hope the writing quality will be a little bit better than Back To Earth, which just wasn't right. I did realise it wasn't going to be 'like it was in the olden days', I just didn't think the writing quality was at its best. Now the new series has been announced it will hopefully give Doug much more freedom and time to create some cracking new episodes.

But he seems to be the reason the writing went down hill. Since it got bad when Rob left. I would be ecstatic to be proven wrong though. I'm sure he's very talented.

Plus I know it sounds bad but with them all older it doesn't have the same feel to it. However, maybe he'll surprise us and have great plots and it'll be great. I shall have to wait for all your reactions to decide whether to get the dvd or not. Long way in the future though. It does make me all warm inside to think of the cast all back together though. Especially after Craig's performance last night in Corrie. He's so cute!

Nice to see Craig feels the same re the quality. But once you've signed up you have to do it I suppose. I don't expect it'll be written before they sign. We go digital here in August (and I may get Virgin or something before then) so I'll get to watch as it goes out. Yay! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for quality. Don't spoil it! (Kind of already did.)

Yeah, I feel for him a lot. How terrible. And such a shame he had to leave. I was loving him on it. Just a normal, lovely guy.
