Maybe they wanted someone (not offending reece btw) kind of posh spoken and has the intellectual look about them and i can see that alot in Dylan. I am trying to think how to explain it.

I think Dylan has a much snottier air to him that Reece does. Reece is alot better at being outwardly angry & agressive, whereas Dylan is obviously very good at being contemptous & haughty.

Here's the quote! It's from a Twitch interview in 2004:

SIMON: We had such a wealth of choice for all of the roles. I’ll tell you this because I know you’re a fan of the thing. It’s not particularly common knowledge and probably shouldn’t be, but right up until the end we always thought of Reece Shearsmith [League of Gentlemen] for David because Reece has that sort of spiky kind of antagonistic persona that he can portray and so when we finally realized that Dylan’s portrayal was going to fit better it was a really hard thing to do.

EDGAR: The toughest thing about casting the film is that apart from Simon and Nick every part had three or four really good friends or colleagues up for the role and that was tough. Luckily nobody takes that personally.

aww come on, Dylan was the obvious choice, me and some friends did however end up picking our own line up from the two groups, we thought tamsin greig would have been good in the main group.

But then she would have replaced lucy davis

I think the film is absolutly perfect so if there were any changes it might not have been

Haha, I'm on first name terms with the owner of my local comic book shop & he orders me stuff in especially anyway, so it shouldn't be too much trouble for me to get my mits on a copy. :D

I used to be like that until another world turned into forbidden planet international - now they employ people who have never read a comic in their life!

The staff at page 45 are very nice though, they should get it me

I hope the cinema store get it then I'll get a lovely discount!!

I got the comic yesterday! I haven't read it yet but they changed the bit when Shaun asks Ed if he wants anything from the shop and now instead of replying Cornetto he says ice cream!

It probably sounds werid but I love that line - apart from that though I think its pretty amazing I love the front cover

Cannot wait for the second issue!

I've got mine too. :D It artwork is stunningly gorgeous, I love it. For some reason I'm just besotted with comicbook Mary, the way the artist captured her is perfect.

Can't wait for number two.
