Exclusive Screening & Guest Appearance @ Phoenix Cinema

Post by papalazarou » Thu May 05, 2005 9:24 pm

One to add to the list of previews:

The Phoenix Cinema will be hosting a preview screening of 'Apocalypse' on the 22nd May and to top it all Steve and Reece will be attending (and possibly the others too). As it's Steve's local cinema he will introduce the showing and the gents will also be giving a Q&A session afterwards.

Tickets are £20 each and the cinema is situated in East Finchley, North London.

Full details here:

UPDATE: Just to let you know, I've just had further confirmation that ALL of the gents will now be present at the Phoenix screening. And they're also raffling off some signed books and DVDs as well, for good measure.

I'm having that! Tickets booked... My old stomping ground of EF! Can do the whole tour - cherry tree woods, the budgens.... Great stuff! It'll be like going home.

So how many previews is that now? I wonder if seeing 5 previews before the film comes out is a bit excessive. Ach, sod it. I saw Return of the Jedi 10 times... ;)
And I'll stay here till the trail's cold and return again with my meaty gold

I saw Shaun of the Dead 6 times before it was actually released in theaters here, so I don't think 5 previews of Apocalypse is excessive at all! ;)

And there was me thinking the NFT thing was going to be a one off(as in madly phoning the NFT and screaming) .......... *throws stuff around* - I wanna see the film NOW!
Everyone's going to have seen this before me

I've an idea, if I pretend my house is a cinema I could get the Gents to have a preview here!

The should be a Hadfield screening! 'I saw a film at the Kino once and it was quite good'.

Anal fact: The nearest cinema to Hadfield, where they did the Henry and Ally sketch, has now been closed. :(

aww that's a shame

a few of my league pals and I were planning to go up to the nearest one to hadders to see the film at some point during its running*** (if they would've shown it there that is). botheration.

hhhmm, yeah, lots of preview screenings. i've never really been interested in something that much to take an interest in advance screenings - is it the norm to have so many??!

*stamps feet like mickey love wanting a fire engine* i wanna see it now!

*** is that taking the obsession too far? *shrugs*

It's not in this part of the world, but Shaun of the Dead had a bazillion, so I don't know. Maybe UK films do this normally? =shrugs=
