UPDATE: Just to let you know, I've just had further confirmation that ALL of the gents will now be present at the Phoenix screening. And they're also raffling off some signed books and DVDs as well, for good measure.

This was amazine. Utterly amazing. And it almost didn't happen! Due to technical faults it started an hour late but that meant TWO Q&As with the gents! One before (Jeremy was absent and Mark threatened to bring Michael Sheen instead) about Non-film stuff. One after to talk about the film. There were some excellent questions from the audience. I asked two! One about the Demon Butcher not being on the Local Show DVD (posted on another thread) and one about why a bit in the trailer isn't in the film (a spoiler so I won't say what!)

The Gents were amazingly on form, really sparking off each other and the "local" crowd asked some very local questions ("what do you think about the 24 hour budgens closing"... "I've got the same landlord you had - Peter Papalazarou" etc etc).

The audience response to the film was AMAZING. You could hardly hear the jokes! It was completely different to the press screening I went to.

Seeing the film a second time, it felt like it went more quickly than the first time! Damn you gents!

We were sat four rows from the front but couldn't see! Terrible layout inside the cinema. :(

Here's a couple of photos for you!

Awwwwh! Cheers for those Tara. :D

Glad you had such a good time. I'll go check out the Demon Butcher thingy now on whatever thread it's on...

You're so brave about asking for photos & stuff. I'm totally not like that when I meet famous people.

EDIT: I LOVE Mark's jumper.

One girl went up to him afterwards and said, "Can I just say I love the way your jumper and socks match??" Bless. :D

Mark did look fine. But I think I annoyed Tara by refusing to touch her camera and hiding in the corner.

I already expanded on the questions on the Yahoo group (the Little Britain bit in particular - snigger), so I won't bother to now. Though it was strange to find out that Peter Papalazarou's place was literally round the corner from where I used to live!

Not only did I have to *talk* to the Gents, and get them to sign my production notes from the film, but Sarah wouldn't even take the photos! Ach well, they came out very well didn't they?

In case you are wondering where Steve was.

Reece - "he had to fly straight to Ireland! He's doing Lassie".
Jeremy - "he's not playing Lassie. He's IN Lassie..."

Bless.

I am incapable of talking to anyone unless at least a little drunk. In which case embarrassing occurrences such as the "would it help if I bent my knees?" incident happen. Be glad there was no more free wine... ;)

Ha, as if Matt and David ever gave us free wine! You're confusing it with Peggy and co at 99p Challenge. Plastic cups of lukewarm wine and melted maltesers. Luxury! :D

Sorry, Steve WAS there - he just didn't hang around to chat to fans afterwards like the others did.
And I'll stay here till the trail's cold and return again with my meaty gold
You want it! You can't get enough of Hilary Briss and his special stuff...
