No. You're right, it was awful.
I don't mind feeble plot if there's some strong dialogue, or some strong character based stuff, but this had none of the above. Characters were not defined, OK so Reece's was meant to be a bit up-tight, the writer dude was...a writer

and Buxton was a doctor...but he was a bit shit. Oh and the women...well surprise surprise one was a young flirt and the other was an old spinster.
If they are going to have the joke that they are NOT behaving like Victorians then that needs to be done in a more over the top way....cos other wise it just seems poorly researched. And if you are going to have then behave as Victorians then it needs to be more authentic....erm League Of Gents Xmas Special Chinnery section is a prime example of writers getting it RIGHT.
It was feeble and pointless, such a shame as this project/idea has such potential. Adam Buxton looked good though, that's the only thing that kept me entertained
