Bald Reece...

Postby Juliet Bravo » Fri Aug 03, 2007 7:41 pm

I think reece knew he didn't look particularly nice in this film -
he says so himself in his last blog to the Gents website:

"Its not a pleasant sight, let me tell you. I’m probably the most horrific thing in the film, and when you see it, you’ll realise that’s saying something!"

So I wouldn't worry that he's lost his looks just yet... its just a character. Not everything he plays can be Benjamin I guess.

Benjamin?
I'd say Papa *sighs*
And we all still love him dearly, our Reece thread is insanely long (and that's after much deletion of stuff from it too)
He's a gorgeous man, just.... not so much in The Cottage

Anyway

HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Here is the helloooo thread so you can tell us a bit about yourself. It's a bit quiet at the mo, some of us are in Hadfield already and a lot of us are off tomorrow on one of our annual trips :D :D

Reece's birthday of course. And one of the Frightfest day's. Poor sod will be 38. No wonder he looks like Vic Reeves these days.

I didn't even notice any difference...

Sounds like a good film though (I thought London to Brighton was brilliant, so I hope this is just as good!), I can't wait to see it when it comes out. Hopefully the sneak preview will be available online somewhere!

Hey now, 38 isn't old, and Vic Reeves has still got it! (As does Mr. Shearsmith.) So none of that! ;)

I will admit it was a bit of a shock, when I first saw the pic, to see him looking suddenly so much older than other fairly recent pics. But even if he really did look like that and it wasn't for a character, I think a fair few (a.k.a. most) girlies on this forum still would. Reece, even bloodied up and with a receding hairline, is still hotter than most, at any age.

Viva la Teh Shearsmith!

'The Cottage' trailer preview at Fright Fest 2007

Postby Geoff Tipps' Joke Writer » Mon Aug 27, 2007 11:29 am

I were lucky enough to attend a sneak preview of the trailer for 'The Cottage' during Fright Fest last night, followed by an appearance and short Q & A session with Reece, the film's director Paul Andrew Williams, the producer Ken Marshall and Dave Legeno who also features in the film. It was the first time footage from the film had been shown to an audience so we were very privileged.

Seeing the trailer makes me more excited about 'The Cottage' than ever...it looks BLOODY BRILLIANT in both senses of the phrase - very, very funny and very, very gory! :D

Also, from what was said during the short interview afterwards, at the core of the film is the relationship between the two brothers, played by Reece and Andy Serkis, so that you care about the characters and what happens to them...something that too many horror films have lacked, especially in recent years.

The trailer got a tremendous reception from the audience! :D

According to what was said at the event 'The Cottage' is due for release in March next year.

It looks like its going to be WELL WORTH waiting for! :D :D
