The play was excellent! I loved it. Great performances and I agree Mark stole the show.

Bunsen was soooo adorable. Really lovely and friendly. Yes I got covered in dog slobber but I'm a sucker for dogs and can't resist saying hello :D

YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY for Laser screwdrivers *does VERY bad things with mine and has to wash it*

I thought Mark was terrific in the play, only at one or two moments did I think "Ohhh that's Mark", the rest of the time he really was the character. I loved his wig btw
Whoa I still can't believe we met Diana Rigg, that RULES!
(And she laughing she half wrote her autograph across Mark's)

Hazel and Paul: Sorry for the flat being like an oven and looking like a demon when I woke up
And HAZEL buy yourself Father Ted boxset! And how poooooooooo is signing tomorrow cos I refuse to buy the boxset. Bastards. You go and say hey to Mangan from me.

I absolutely LOVED Mark's wig. There was something so *real* about the terrible faded red colour and the grown-out roots.

It looks a bit like my hair at the moment. I must dye my roots... ;)

Really enjoyed the play. I've wanted to see the film for ages, so I definitely must get around to that now! It was very emotional. I nearly cried a number of times too, Hazel! And Mark was ace!!

Thanks for reminding me

If we are taking "rock" to be synonymous with "are a mentalist who should keep mouth shut" we might be somewhere near. I'm tempted to go back and do it again, see if she remembers.

I concur with the wig, it was horribly realistic. As were a lot of the clothes. Although why he was using a welsh accent when he was meant to be spanish is anyone's guess.

*high fives Sarah* I'm not the only soft-touch then, yay! :P

He mentioned about the Welsh accent on Paul O Grady.
Although I can't now remember what he said. Something about being an outsider...
plus, he probably can't do Spanish.

That might be the reason, yes. It was a good accent, but it reminded a little too much of the Mortician for me to take it too seriously...

I thought the Welsh accept was a little ropey and less assured that Owen Fallowfield and I'm not entirely sure that Welsh is equal to the idea of the slightly different dialect of Spanish used by Agrado in the Film. I think Mark could have got away with making her authentically northern - surely that's regional enough?

But hey, it's a barn storming performance by Gatty-man. I'm just being picky really. :)

Went to see AAMM a few weeks ago, and thought it was very good. Mark was excellent, as was the rest of the cast (well, except for a few of the minor supporting actors). Would recommend anyone who hasn't seen it yet to go see it before it closes!

Also, found this little video the other day in which Mark shows his dressing room and talks briefly about his "waxed tits." http://www.ifilm.com/video/2912604

Oh, and just so you know, you can nominate Mark for best featured actor in a play at the Theatregoer's Choice Awards: http://www.whatsonstage.com/surveys/fil ... php?sid=17

Have voted for Mark too. He definitely deserved to win, he's brilliant in the role. Also I voted for Steve in 'Best Take Over Performance' for 'The Drowsy Chaperone'. He was superb too as 'Man in chair', the narrator role, but it was far more than just that.
Have we missed the cakes?

Mark will probably be discussing this show when he appears on Richard & Judy's New Position at 8pm tonight. The show is on new tv channel Watch.

Catch it if you can!

Hi there Ekhomusic! :) Glad you could join us!

If you're planning on staying, why not pop over to the Newbies thread to say hello and tell us a little bit about yourself, here. The few guidelines we have for the forum can be found here.

Thanks for the Mark update too, BTW. :D
